We have embarked on a new decade in which we will be exploring newer ideas and approaches to reduce the burden of disease around the world. We are moving into an era of nichebuster drugs for maximizing patient benefit. So, whether it's through a breakthrough, incremental or marginal innovation - the focus of pharmaceutical research will be on delivering solutions, that are safe, effective, provide meaningful health outcomes and have a positive impact on the quality of life.

Its my pleasure to welcome you to the Ramanbhai Foundation 6th International Symposium on “Advances in Translational Research and Medicines” will be held in Ahmedabad, India from February 1-4, 2013, with a focus on cancer, pain, inflammation and cardio metabolic diseases.

The 2013 meeting aims to bring together the scientific community from across the world, both from academia and industry, to deliberate upon unmet medical needs and new research initiatives using translational research & medicine to combat these global epidemics. Over the past several years, RBF symposium has been recognised as the premier event in this part of the world, and has drawn significant participation by the research community worldwide.
